‘Written’ A new body of work by Sarah Peters of Studio Braemar. 

The pieces in this collection of work are highly personal pieces of art that combine stream of consciousness with intuitive mark-making.

Each of the seven pieces began in the same way; allowing words to flow in a single sitting without judgement or editing. After the words revealed themselves on the page, Sarah allowed the words of the piece to dictate the marks the followed.

Because of the personal nature of these works, the meaning behind each piece will only be shared (in a personal hand-written letter) with the person who purchases it. They will be the sole person to have an intimate and totally unique knowledge of the piece.

Please note that these works are not intended to be 'perfect', in fact, quite the opposite. They capture a moment in time, where ink and emotion meet paper. In the making process, ink bleeds, paint drips, paper can tear. The piece you receive is exactly how it was intended to be. Because it happened.
